In Austria, it’s everywhere – the green floral pattern on white ceramic. Gmundner Keramik isn’t just pottery. It’s culture. It’s comfort. It’s what’s in the cupboard at your grandmother’s house. And yet, what’s familiar can sometimes fade. Our task: dust it off and bring it back – with clarity and purpose.
The new identity opens up the brand: more white space, lighter typography, a lifestyle-inspired visual tone. Young people engage with the product. Still handmade, still local – but presented in a way that feels fresh. We show the process, the people, the passion. Yes, even the tattoos behind the tradition.
The iconic floral design remains – but recontextualized. On marble instead of cottage wood, in bronze rather than gingham. New editions in white, stylised still lifes, modern table settings. Gmundner remains true to its heritage – but proves that tradition can evolve. Beautifully.
